Things to do in Bath in the Rain
Thursday, 6th December 2018
The Bath Boutique Stays team would of course argue that Bath, a world heritage city, is always the place to be, whatever the season. Sometimes the Great British weather can seemingly scupper your well-made plans. Well, worry not, if it’s an indoors plan you need, there are plenty of rainy-day options so we’ve put together our top suggestions for things to do in Bath in the rain.
Top Rainy Day Activities in Bath – Things to do in Bath in the rain
1 – Spa it!
Come rain or shine, Bath Thermae Spa should be on your must-do Bath list. We’d recommend bathing in the roof top pool as a wonderfully memorable experience, even more so in light rain or snow! The naturally warm waters and incredible views make for unique memories.
2 – Soak up some culture!
No.1.Royal Crescent, Holburne Museum, Victoria Art Gallery, The Fashion Museum, the Jane Austen and the world renowned The Roman Baths all offer a view of Bath through its distinct eras. (Top tip; the Holburne Museum has an excellent modern and family friendly café too. Stop a while).
3 – Take Afternoon Tea
Grab a Bath bun. Or a Sally Lunn bunn. Don’t get the 2 mixed up as they have rivalled histories but both worth a taste…to be fair!! Or treat yourself to an afternoon tea and why not go all out and get the full Bath experience. Try The Royal Crescent or The Pump Rooms.
4 – Learn a skill
We can arrange life drawing classes, personal training sessions, glass blowing workshops or wine tasting evenings. Just ask us how. Stay wrapped up in the comfort of your Georgian boutique stay and let the fun come to you.
5 – Cuddle Up/Have a Giggle
Grab a movie at Bath’s oldest and best cinema, The Little Theatre Cinema. A beautiful family owned art deco cinema (that you can get married in btw….) Or grab a show at Bath’s own live comedy venue, Komedia (previously a cinema).
Bath, fabulous whatever the weather.
