Wednesday, 8th May 2019
Bath will be jumping again this summer with vibrant and exciting happenings so this blog could be endless. But we’ve taken a Bath Boutique Stays team vote and finalised our top things to do in Bath this summer, month by month. Ready?
May – Bath Festival, including Party in the City & Finale Weekend
May sees the return of the Bath Festival, 17-26 May. Once a high brow classical music and literature celebration the festival now includes a wide range of subjects and styles meaning there is something for everyone. It all kicks off with a free evening of music city-wide too with the party vibe carrying right through until the finale 1st and 2nd June with a 2-day Finale Weekend music fiesta including Clean Bandit and Van Morrison.
June – Pub in the Park
Returning for its second year, TV Chef Tom Kerridge’s food and drink love-in was a popular addition to Bath’s social calendar last year and with an even better line-up of musical acts, you are in for a real treat! See Will Young, Texas and Basement Jaxx among others.
July – Bath Carnival
And you can’t catch a breath because, Bath Carnival is Bath’s largest outdoor event and snakes through the city on July 13th. Hear grass roots live music, DJ’s and glittering costumes. Plenty for all the family.
Is the month to, walk the skyline, cycle the Two Tunnels, see all the sights, again, bathe in the Thermae Spa, walks the Roman cobbles of the Baths, go punting on the river, take a selfie by Pulteney Bridge, take afternoon tea at the Royal Crescent Hotel, dine at The Ivy, have a picnic in Royal Victoria Park, see our list of the top 10 things to do in bath …
And if your visit to the city is during September …
… then join the literature fans during the Jane Austen Festival and promenade the city looking for Mr. Darcy!
We curate bespoke packages for our guests ensuring they enjoy their perfect trip to Bath; so if you’re a festival fan or prefer something quite different our team are ready to organise that for you.
